In March 2020 here in Pakistan and surrounding countries of South East Asia and other regions of
the world, governments announced their policies to prevent and control the pandemic of Coronavirus and almost
begin with the lockdowns in cities
or in strategic areas.
That was a completely
unexpected event, no one was ready for it, especially the progressive employees
or those who were very near in time of request for their annual increments or
revision in salary packages. Now many employees in shocked and disrupted, that’s
a wakeup call to leave the comfort zone, control your personal expenditures and
use your self-assessment skills with the big questions and professionally make
your skillset more strengthen. That makes you able to be more focused and work
with more devotion in your industry.
But be optimistic this is an
opportunity. Yes, the pandemic has increased the uncertainty and caught us red
handily unprepared i.e. psychologically,
financially, and infrastructural and the situation
presently is threatening. We need to be the focus on all the options and strategic
alliances that help us to save our career and to support us in building strong
skillsets for a long time.
There are the following steps
that help you in the re-engineering and re-innovation of a Career in the time
of Coronavirus.
1. Leave your Comfort
Zone as early as possible.
2. Develop the Strategy to work more progressively and
efficiently.
3. Embrace the Pandemic Period.
4. Investment in Your Career Project.
5. Work on your Contacts.
6. Identify your new Career and talk about it.
According to these Steps
Pandemic is a wakeup call to leave the traditional approach of working and
adopt the modern approach with new mentors who are progressive and with new
moderate success stories. Then for renovating in the career we need to develop
the progressive strategy to work more efficiently, without learning new
knowledge and improvement in an innovative skill set that is not possible.
That’s the time, to embrace
the pandemic period and to cultivating knowledge, skills, resources, and
relationships until you’ve got strong new legs to walk on in exploring a new
career. As we are observing people are taking training classes and devotedly
working on different startup ideas. We can call it portfolios investment approach, like the common businessmen and
industrialists, are doing and investing their wealth in different portfolios.
The second last step to bring
a change in career and reengineering it to achieve the new horizons and to use
your personal contacts and relationships and talk to mentors and professional
friends, colleagues and seniors and identify the pros and cons of your new
planning for this change in career to accomplish your new dreams to be more
successful.
